View Full Version : Pats vs. Broncos

10-3 at the end of 2 quarters, the Broncos dominated most of the 1st half, and the pats fumbled twice in a row to give them great field position.
the referees also suck. They called the WORST defensive pass interference I have ever seen in my life. They also screwed up the Samuel Interception, even though that was later overturned. They also missed a false start on the broncos fieldgoal at the end of the half which would have made the kick a 55 yarder.
the pats gotta step up, but i'm pissed right now
Not sure why Denver decide to throw on 4th and 1. Why in world would you depend on Plummer when you could push in with Mike Anderson for the one yard, like they just did to score that TD. Denver deserve to be losing at this point, but have got extremely lucky on some calls up to this point.

yeah, that's true. The pats defense I think has really stepped up in this game, and I think the broncos have like 29 yards rushing. They should have bootlegged that play with plummer...that's what they're good at.

I've been a Pats fan for years. Well before they were "The Team". But if they lose tonight, it will be the last game I watch til next season.

well, guess you won't be watching any more football this season...
I'm really dissapointed in the game tonight. The Patriots had chances to beat the broncos, but they made 5 turnovers (the last brady interception doesn't really matter I guess) but four turnovers which lead to all of Denver's point. Brown muffed that punt, brady threw the interception in the end zone (by the way, Ben Watson completely owned Champ Bailey on the play, it was beautiful). Look at the touchdown drives the broncos had...they had two drives of one play because they got the ball at the 1 yard line. The other one was a three play drive. All of those were due to turnovers.
You look at the stats from the game, and what you'll see is without the turnovers and penalties, the pats completely owned denver in every way. But that's just it, without this and that. Pats killed themselves tonight.
Oh, and the refs didn't help...:)

The game was much closer than the final score shows, that's for sure.
They could have taken the lead on that play that Champ ended up running back for what amounted to a touchdown. Then Brown fumbled that return, leading to another score for the Broncos.
The Broncos didn't have much working tonight IMO. I wouldn't bet on them against the winner of the Indy/Pitt game tomorrow.

yep. five turnovers will kill ya every time. every single time. (unless the other team turns it over six times!)
The game went Denver's way. Plain and simple. Patriots hand them the game with the five turn-over and the calls just helped the Donkeys even more. Still, Patriots played a sloppy game today. Those turn-overs were turn-overs forced by the Donkeys, except the punt return fumble by Brown.
The Donkeys did play a good game by having the Patriots have five turn-over. You have to give credit to them for doing that. The offense took advantage after the turn-over with excellent field position.

What an ugly game to watch.
That was some good hustle by the Pats' tight end to catch Champ Bailey on the 100 yard return. But all for not, I suppose.
Sorry, Pats fans!
I got to sit in a bar and drink free beer while watching the game, courtesy of the wife's office party. WOO HOO!

Hats off to Denver. No one gave them a chance to win and no one talked about them this week. Denver shut their mouths and just played.
Denver's defense really did a good job I thought. Their defense is underrated. How do you like John Lynch frustrating Brady? Seeing Brady react was priceless.
I actually thought Brady did a good job considering how Denver's defense was all over him. He was not the reason why the Pats lost.
Pats lost simply because they made too many mistakes. Their special teams just did not look good out there and they turned the ball over way too much. That un-Patriot like especially at this time of the year. They are normally flawless come playoff time. Patriots did not play Patriots football.
Give Denver credit. They made the big plays and their defense as huge.
Congrats to the Broncos for ending this dynasty.

Patriots are a very good team and their accomplishments speak for itself. It wasn't in the cards. They will be back next year for sure. As long as Belichick and Brady are around, they will always be SB contenders.

And in your humble opinion they are overated because. . .?
Lastly, on what basis do you offer the rather stunning opinion that the Pats won't win another Super Bowl for 30 years? Why not 5, 10, 15, 20 or 25?
