So my best friend is turning 40 next week. I gave her sister money towards the surprise party, but I wanted to get her a nice gift. I decided I wanted to buy her a bracelet.
I went to the [indoor] flea market here that has a huge huge jewelry section. Great quality at good prices. I shopped and shopped and shopped and finally purchased something I thought she would like. I spent much more money than I had planned to.
After I got home I was thinking about it some more and decided that I really could not afford to spend that on her. So I'd go to Macy*s at lunch, and if I found something I liked there, I'd go back to the flea market and return the expensive bracelet.
That's exactly what happened. I still spent more at Macy*s than I should have, but special occasion and all that.
But when I went back to the flea market, I couldn't just return the bracelet and go. I had to do some more browsing. For myself. I ended up buying myself a really really nice pair of earrings. I spent waaaaaaaaaaay more than I should for something like that for myself.
So to summarize, I returned a bracelet that I spent too much money on and ended up spending about 25% more than that!! Aaaaaack!!! I spend money as if I had it!
Then I went to KFC planning on getting 5 honey barbeque wings. () But at the last minute I got 10 instead.
Totally out of control. :banghead
