Who are you?

Why are you here?

Why haven't you killed yourself?

Details, details.

I'd love to know a little about you all ..

And I can only assume others would, too.

Here's a little about me:

Well, I basically created this site a few years ago. Unfortunately, after failing to balance far too many female "friends" .. I handed over the website to Nanner, intrusting her with my great creation. Things went well for a short while, until she one day decided to turn "Addicts" into a complete, 24/7 "Reality Television" forum.

Quite calmly, I reasoned with Nanner to reconsider her decision, politely threatening to "end her" if she went foward with her desired alteration. She soon decided her plans would be best made elsewhere and passed over the website's rights to her brother's bestfriend's neighbor's gay cousin.

And yes, that's when James came in to run the show! Luckily for everyone, he even brought on his "assistant" to help moderate the Dugout. In fact, he's still here to this day ..

Anyhow, I now live modestly in Providence, Rhode Island. I'm 24 years old, and I work as a teacher for Austistic adults. I'm an avid fan of the Red Sox, Celtics, Dolphins, and Friars .. and I'm known to pop on here to discuss any of my teams when the time is available.

Who's next?

i am sarah...aka princessfishy, which you know if you can read :)

as i get many questions (and bad jokes) about the name, so let me explain. sarah means princess, and im a pisces, hence the fishy. very simple, yet intriguingly clever, id say. i live in virginia beach and have 2 great kids.

im here because james said you guys were a bunch of crackheads, and i like ppl like that. :wavey: then i found out there are actual intelligent discussions on one of my favorite topics--sports.

i am a diamondbacks, suns and bills fan. i love them all. :gt: im not really into college ball, but will root for any arizona team and apparently now syracuse :cheer: . im big on hanging out with my girls, playing pool, movies (and religiously quoting them), reading, playing pool, learning to play guitar, learning about cars and getting all dirty, and playing pool.

so thats a little about me....

How does James have such seductive powers? Syracuse is horrible. ;)

What school is at the top of so many sports as The Ohio State University? Now there's a school to root for!

What is it with that THE Ohio State University, K? Is there another one up there that is just plain old Ohio State U? Is there AN Ohio State University or THAT Ohio State University ANOTHER Ohio State University? I remember when the pukes up the road in Austin years ago started stressing they were THE University of Texas as though they were the one and only or something like that. One reason they are referred to as t.u. instead of UT by the Fightin' Texas Aggies! Note we are just Fightin' Texas Aggies and not always THE Fightin' Texas Aggies. Also reminds me of that snotty little community north of Houston that insists on being called THE Woodlands. If it wasn't for THE economy in Houston providing all of THE jobs 90% of them get paid to do then they wouldn't have THE money to live in THE big houses they call home or enjoy THE arrogant yuppie lifestyle so many of THE residents of THE Woodlands prescribe to.

Why is THE stressed like that, inquiring minds want to know?

Its not all about who has won natinal championships, my friend. Sometimes, I will choose a team which is consistently in the race for a title over a team which wins one and then is not really much of a threat after that..;)

Uh, maybe you should see how many NCAA tourney's and overall wins Syracuse has buddy!

Don't make me bring up SU's overall tourney record compared to Pitts;)

Overall and history doesnt mean much to me. I wasnt alive then, so doesnt mean a lot to me. I am talking about the present day, my friend. :D

Texas A&M has consistently won national titles in calf roping, wool judging and marching in a straight line. When was the last time Syracuse, Pitt or any university in the Buckeye State could claim that? :freak:

is that even a real sport??Yeah, is it? Don't think we have that down here in Texas. We do have Jimmy LaFave, however, and he puts on a helluva' show.

I haven't really heard a definitive answer on why we do that. I just do it because I'm able to and it makes me feel special. From what I've heard, the emphasis on the The stems from a rivalry with Ohio University over which was the official state school. The the just sets it apart from OU.

How easily James forgets the 2002 Buckeyes football dominance. Not to mention the upcoming women's basketball national championship, we'll win as well as the men's basketball and football team next year.

And how many of you can claim to be friend's with a reigning women's equestrian national champion? I do believe none.

You by any chance coming down to Texas for the Buckeyes-Longhorns game next season? If so, let me know. Even an old wool-judgin', calf-ropin', straight line marchin' Aggie like me is thinking about going to see that one. I'm about 70 minutes SW of Austin and would love to sit with some Buckeye fans at the game.

(PS --- Not really on the calf-roping, never done that in my life. But I have sheared a few sheep and goats, and I was in a high school marching band once who had no problem walking and chewing gum at the same time) :D

Who's next?

My name is Tom, I'm 13 and I live in Westchester NY. I'm here because as most of my friends know, I'm a huge sports fan. The biggest Met fan in my school. I became obsessed with the game about 3 years ago and love everything about it. My other main sport is golf which I took up about a year ago and play all the time. Favorite golf is Sergio Garcia (sadly). In baseball my main position is pitcher and I play for my modified baseball team. I enjoy life (why I havent killed myself), like playing sports, video games, and hanging with my friends. And girls......

For some reason, Lacrosse has completely swept my school. A lot of the football, baseball, and basketball players are switching to Lacrosse and don't know why. I need to eliminate it....

Lacrosse sucks. Everyone tells me I play baseball cause I suck at lacrosse, meanwhile they couldn't hit a ball out of the infield, and I haven't picked up a lacrosse stick in my life.

I'm graduating in March and applying to law schools now so I literally have no idea what I'm going to be doing in April let alone September, not to mention even where I'll be doing it. But if I do head down that way I'll be sure to hit you up.

Oddly enough though, I've been calf-roping. I went backpacking in Mew Mexico a few years ago and at one of the outposts we get to try our hands at it in a small pen. I sucked at it.

I you sure I'm here at all??

Why haven't you killed yourself?

fear of failure

I've never been calf roping or even to a rodeo, but I have held an almost newborn baby hog and ridden a tractor (no, it did not give me ghonorrea) and I've been to a number of state fairs and in several caves and caverns. Not bad for a city gal!
