Ok, whos going to replace da Bus. Will it be Deuce? Will Deuce even be there?
My jury is still out on Parker. Need to shore up that running game for the chance to repeat.

It will be Willie.
Willie is a very good heir apparent.

I heard a rumor about a month ago or so that Atlanta was thinking of trading away TJ Duckett and that maybe Pittsburgh would be interested. A backfield tandem of Parker/Duckett would be awesome.
btw- welcome to the site KY-Steeler-Fan. How 'bout them Steelers? :D

We always like to see more Steelers fan show up...more support for when the arguing gets heated!
I would love to see Duckett come to Pittsburgh. They wanted to draft him when he came out of school, but he was obviously taken before they had the chance.

Obviously, everybody knows the Steelers need a power back to replace Bettis and to go along to Willie Parker. T.J. Duckett would not be option. I believe Atlanta may try to trade T.J. Duckett this off-season. We'll have to see, but would be a good option for the power back on for the Steelers running game.
Or, they'll just option to pick up a power back out of college. Not too knowledgable about college football, so not sure who they would get during the draft when it's their turn to pick.

How many good Power backs are there in the NFL? Bettis was a gem.

ive been hearing that during the season cowher gave duce the option to not dress out, because he prolly wouldnt get much time. but he has said that he wants staley back, and will play behind willy parker. the dream situation for the steelers would if lendale or marooney (sp) from minny.
I don't know, man, but I can picture White being an excellent RB to replace the Bus, but I'll be shocked if White even around when it's Steelers' chance to pick.
Duce would be the back-up to Willie, who was basically the starter most of the season last year, no? With Bettis gaining the big short yard gains, which he was one of the best at like Dward said.

What I'm hoping is that the teams that need running backs sign all these free agents up, dropping Lendale White in the draft to the point where the Steelers can get him with their pick, but I find this scenario unlikely. Besides that, who is even to say that the Steelers would pick him? They might feel like they are ok with Willie and a healthy Duce Staley.
I'm not so sure I do, but I don't have any say in the matter.
