I tell ya what. That is a great hire. I think Art will do a fine job as long as Al lets him do his job. Art did a pretty good job in his first stint. That was pretty clear because Al wouldn't have hire him back or make a statement that he regrette firing Al.

I am very happy for Art. He should be a head coach. It's a joke that he hasn't been coaching since he got fired by Al. I know he was an OL coach for KC and Atlanta, but he should have been a head coach for some team based on what he did with the Raiders. I am not sure why some team hasn't hire him back then. It's unfortunate. I am just glad he is back and I hope he does a great job in his second trip.

The only reason that he even took this job is simply because he didn't want to waste an opportunity of not being a head coach. Not many teams were calling him for some odd reason so he couldn't afford to blow this opportunity.

Art was one of the few people that would actually take the job as the Raiders Head Coach. How many people turned down the job? I lost count a few weeks back. Still, Art Shell is not a bad hire, as long as he's able to control the team, which I doubt he will be able to do. Maybe when Al gone, this team can be successful, but Al done a poor job recently with the Raiders. He still refuse to let other people construct the team.

Al Davis said before that he made a mistake when he fired Shell in the first place. Art will do a fine job in his second tenure. :thumbsup:
