Fan Conduct Policy
Animals
Animals are not permitted, except service animals for impaired or disabled fans.
Alcohol
Stadium management policy prohibits bringing alcoholic beverages into the stadium. Gate and Security personnel are instructed to enforce this rule in the interest of your safety.
Bags
No large bags, large pocketbooks, backpacks or large camera bags are permitted inside the stadium. Only items with a profile smaller than 8.5" x 11" will be allowed. All bags are subject to inspection.
Banners
Banners and signs are welcome, provided they are in good taste, as determined by the Phillies. Banners may not be hung or displayed on any part of the playing field or in any way that obstructs the view of fans or any stadium signage. Banners and signs may not be carried through the interior stadium walkways or seating area. If a banner interferes with the players' sightlines, the umpires may request its removal. Signs utilizing wood or metal material for support or other types of wooden objects (brooms, etc.) will not be permitted in Veterans Stadium.
Bottles, Cans, Coolers and Thermoses
A City of Philadelphia ordinance prohibits bringing cans and bottles (glass) into the stadium as a safety measure. A thrown bottle or can could severly injure someone. Phillies Security will ask you to : (a) dispose of the bottle or can at the gate, or (b) return it to your car. Coolers and thermoses are not permitted into Veterans Stadium.
Cameras and Video Equipment
Cameras are permitted. Video cameras are permitted but cannot be used to reproduce the game and must not interfere with other fans' enjoyment of the game.
Conduct
The Phillies will not allow conduct that may spoil the game for others. The use of foul or abusive language or otherwise causing a disturbance will not be tolerated. Such conduct will result in automatic ejection from the stadium, a fine and may lead to criminal prosecution. If you observe a problem, please contact a Host, Hostess or Security Guard immediately. They have been trained on how to handle these situations and will be able to take proper action. Should a member of your group become intoxicated, by all means do not let him or her drive.
Foul Balls
You are welcome to keep any foul balls that are hit into the stands. However, do NOT interfere with any ball in play, especially if you are sitting at field level. National League rules call for the ejection of fans who interfere with a ball in play. Fans assume all risks and dangers incidental to the game of baseball, whether occuring prior to, during or subsequent to the actual playing of the game, including, without limitation, injury from thrown bats, thrown or batted balls and spectators' conduct. Neither the Phillies nor the opposing team or their respective players or agents shall be liable for any such injury.
Laser Pointers
Laser pointers will not be permitted in the stadium in the interest of safety. Any fan(s) using a laser pointer will have the pointer confiscated and may be ejected.
Playing Field
Anyone who runs onto the playing field or throws anything from the stands will, in every case, be arrested and criminally prosecuted. Upon conviction, a sentence of up to one year in prison and/or a $2,500 fine can be imposed.
Radios and Televisions
Radios and hand-held televisions are permitted only if they don't interfere with other fans' enjoyment of the game.
Scalpers
It is illegal to attempt to resell tickets on Veterans Stadium property. Tickets associated with such transactions are subject to confiscation. Many times, scalpers misrepresent the date or location, or are selling stolen tickets. Tickets should be purchased at official Phillies Ticket booths located on the Podium Level or Ground Level at Gate B.
Smoking
Smoking is not permitted in seating areas on all levels or in stadium rest rooms. Smoking is only allowed in concourse areas. Fans abusing this directive will be given a notice. A second notice may mean eviction from the stadium. Refer violators to Hosts, Hostesses or Security Guards.
Tailgating
City of Philadelphia ordinance prohibits tailgating in the Veterans Stadium and First Union Spectrum parking lots. Tailgating is permitted in the parking lot area surrounding The First Union Center.
