Cardinals lineup:
2B Vina
3B Polanco
RF Drew
3B Pujols
CF Edmonds
SS Renteria
1B Martinez
C Matheny
P Stephenson

Maybe Renteria can go to the top of the order soon, if LaRussa trusts him to hit above Tino.

Rockies lineup:
CF Pierre
SS Uribe
RF Walker
1B Helton
3B Zeile
LF Hollandsworth
2B Ortiz
C Bennet
P Neagle

3 Todds in a row. 2 Juans in a row. Larry and Gary. May be the difference in the game right there. ;)

My prediction:
The starters will perform solidly, but still a fair share of runs will be produced. The game's score will be close and around the 5-6 run area. Stephenson and Neagle both can possibly hold the game under control, and the game will depend on who has the more explosive offense. Rockies have a better first four, but the Cardinals have a better overall lineup. Zeile protecting Helton looks ugly from my point of view. I think that if the Cardinals are winning by the sixth inning, Veres and Kline can put this one away. Cardinals are in a better position to to win this one but it is by no means a clear cut victory.

Uribe and Helton drew walks... Zeile got a 2 rbi double and Hollandsworth got an rbi double. 3-0 rockies :(

Stephenson strikes out Ortiz to end the inning, but the damage was done. He walked two batters who later scored. I call an early hook if he walks batters or shows wildness next inning. Time for the Cards to pay em back!

3 run homer by Walker... 6-0 rockies. Stephenson is still in there. It would be awfully nice of Renertia, Martinez, and Matheny to hit back to back to back home runs. That would put us down by only 1. Then Marrero can pinch hit and hit one out also.

Well Stephenson FINALLY pitches a scoreless inning. The Cardinals still have not gotten a hit off of Neagle. Hopefully Vina can get the first one... he's up now.

Well that was fast. Vina struck out, and Polanco and Drew singled. Pujols is up with 2 outs (stephenson flew out)

Rbi single for Pujols. Edmonds is up with 2 outs and 2 men on. In yesterdays game a big 4 (or so) run inning had all the runs come out with 2 outs... now we can have a 2 out rally when we actually need one. Come on Jimmy!!!!

Yawn.... he flew out to right field. What gives?:notme:

Bennet leads off with a double, and Neagle was unnseccesful in an attempt to move him along to third.

Pierre hit by pitch. Something is obviously wrong with Stephenson. He should be taken out of there.

Now Uribe grounds into a double play JUST to make me look bad :hmm: K cardinals turn to bat! Renteria and Tino Martinez and then Matheny and Stephenson. A solo homer and 3 outs would be progress for me (gets the lineup to the top of the order.)

After working the count and fouling some pitches off Renteria leads you to beleive something big is coming as he grounds out to the second basemen. Martinez singled and now it's up to Matheny. In LaRussa's shoes I would pinch hit for Stephenson. He's been pretty bad.

That was Tino's first hit as a Cardinal, and now Matheny has gotten himself a 0-2 count.....

.......Ball one. Still looks like Stephensen will hit.

Matheny strikes out looking, and now Stephenson is up to bat so this inning is over.

Oh, what's this? Eddie Perez is pinch hitting! 2-1 count on him so far.
