CHICAGO -- The World Series Champion Chicago White Sox and Univision Radio La Tremenda (WRTO 1200 AM) have extended their agreement to broadcast select White Sox home games in Spanish in 2006. The agreement, first reached in 2005, marked the first time since 1999 that the White Sox had a Spanish-language radio broadcast. There will be 30 Spanish broadcasts in 2006, an increase in 10 games from last year.

"The White Sox are delighted to continue the partnership with Univision Radio to bring even more White Sox Baseball to our Spanish-speaking fans in 2006," said Brooks Boyer, White Sox vice president of marketing. "The response to last year's broadcasts was tremendous, and we're excited to offer additional game coverage to even further strengthen our relationship with Chicago's Spanish-speaking communities."

Veteran Chicago sportscaster Hector Molina will return in 2006 to act as the voice of the White Sox on WRTO. Molina previously held the position of the play-by-play voice of the White Sox from 1992-1999.

"We are very proud of our long standing relationship with the Chicago White Sox," said Jerry Ryan, vice president and general manager of Univision Radio Illinois. "Baseball is very popular with our listeners, and the White Sox have always reached out to the community to bring the excitement of these games to as many Spanish-speaking persons as possible. When it comes to baseball on the radio, it is La Tremenda and the White Sox that the Hispanic community tunes into."
