YAHOO (http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/news/ap/20020403/ap-brewers-figueroa.html) -- The Milwaukee Brewers (http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/teams/mil/) claimed pitcher Nelson Figuera off waivers from the Philadelphia Phillies (http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/teams/phi/) on Wednesday.
Figueroa was 4-5 with a 3.94 ERA in 19 games for the Phillies last season. including 13 starts.The right hander will join the team Friday for it's home game againt Arizona.
He's attractive to us because he can start and relieve, "Milwaukee general manager Dean Taylor said.
The Brewers designated Infielder Marcus Scutaro for Assignment to Make Room on The 40-man roster for Figueroa, They will make a move on the 25-man roster Friday.
