Is this why your typing is even stranger than usual?

Congrats, by the way!!! :jump:

I thought you had lost a finger or something and were just typing like you normally would. Glad to hear about the win. I guess your regular goalie was back??

yeah... our regular goalie was back. He now has a 1.60 GAA for the season, which is 2nd best in the league. Afterwards, he and I.. .along with 2 other teamates went out with these girls we met after the game. Had a tad bit too much fun. But oh well.. haha

It's great to be on a winning team finally after struggling through two seasons.

Are you talking about your hockey team or the Pirates here?? Sounds like the situation would describe both pretty well ...

hey hey now... I have been rather quiet during this series. Have not said much of anything to anyone... so :eviltongu to you too.

Don't worry Cyn. It won't last long.

And when the Mets come to PNC Park in September, they'll probably win that series.

actually josh.. they won't... because I will be there... and the Pirates have won the last 23 games i have gone to...;)

and josh.. this WILL last. You have to keep reminding yourself of that.

Maybe you should just go to every game then, Shawn. I'll pay for some of it.

I hope as much as anyone this will last. The Bucs do look encouraging but they still need to win a lot more before I'll start feeling good. If they can win 2 of 3 from the Cubbies this weekend, I'll get excited. Until then, I'll remain neutral.

hey.. like we were talking earlier... we are above .500 for the first time since August of 1999... This is like what it was like when the Barking Ducks were in first place for the first time ever. I have had so very little to get excited about with this team since the Cabrera curse.. that I am excited. (hey.. i never said it takes much to excite me)

and josh.. if everyone wants to pitch in for season tickets, i think i could convince myself to go every day. ;)

Only downside is, that before that, they had lost 18 in a row that I went to. But it all ended the night of the no-hitter... then averaged about a .500 record for a couple of seasons before the winning streak.

Don't get me wrong, I am as excited as you are about winning 2 of their first 3 games. That excites me now, but if I am going to get excited about the rest of the season, I need to see some more of the same from the Bucs.

I'll chip in for your season tickets under the condition if they ever have another 18 game losing streak, I either want a refund or the right to go in your place. ;)
