Due to the rainout on Saturday, three Brewers pitchers threw in an intrasquad game in minor-league camp. Lefty Chris Capuano worked three hitless innings, but walked three batters and allowed a run. Reliever Matt Wise pitched two innings, gave up one hit and struck out three.

"That's the first time I've felt comfortable out there," Wise said. "My rhythm was good I've been waiting all spring to execute some pitches."

Dan Kolb, who has struggled in his first two exhibition outings, worked one inning and gave up four hits, two walks and three runs.

"He threw some groundballs that found holes and he threw some balls that were hit," pitching coach Mike Maddux said

Kolb, who has felt strong physically this spring, said he wasn't sharp mentally. Pitching in the low-pressure environment of the minor-league camp didn't help give him an edge. "It was just a lazy day," he said. "(Saturday), I was geared up to pitch. Today was one of those days when you should just stay in bed. I felt OK in the bullpen, but I didn't really have anything after that."

Kolb threw 12 of his 26 pitches for strikes, but the "umpire" for the game was actually catcher Vinny Rottino. That led to one of the more humorous exchanges of the day.

"I was pitching to Ned's son," Wise said, referring to minor-league first baseman Ned Yost IV. "I threw a pitch that was borderline and Vinny called it strike three. Ned said, 'That's not going to be good for business,' and I told him 'Blame Vinny. I thought it was low.' "
