The Dolphins??

While I am certainly excited about the Dolphins game next season, I am curious as to who decided that was the best matchup to open the season against on the thursday night game?

I am also sort of disappointed because that means that tickets for the mammals game will be tough to come by. My brother is a huge dolphins fan.... so we are going.. but damn.. that will be an expensive game.

:D I can't wait. My two favorite teams open the season. Phins on Thurs and Giants on Sunday.

Plus the Dolphins are on Thanksgiving vs. the Lions.

That is if Culpepper is ready for the start of the season. The word was he would be ready at the mid way point but last word I heard is that maybe a couple of games into the season. His knee was tore to shreads

U Steeler fans sure do have selective anmesia. U wouldn't have even been in the Superbowl had Carson not gone down & U know it!!! Wait till he gets back. You lost your man Jerome (who was a Bengal killer) and we are gonna be much better on D this year (don't even need to mention how good the Offense will be). GOOD LUCK going 16-0 (or even winning the Div).

We value great football talk and value great points made with strong arguments. Not just arguments.

And so far no I havnt heard anything on the Ricky Williams thing.

I have heard that Sabon is ticked at Culpepper because he said that he didnt think he was going to be ready for the season and was wondering if he would be able to play at all this season. So he got ticked at him for playing doctor. (Same reason the Vikings got in it with Culpepper)

Ricky and his agent seem very confident that the appeal will turn back positive for them and that Ricky can begin working out with the Dolphins ASAP. But who knows?

anyway, I don't expect the Steelers to have an easy victory against the Phins even if Daunte is out (which I suspect he will be).

As for why we are playing the Phins, I believe it is because the Broncos did not want to play the first game of the season on a Thursday night away from home. I remember when I first heard about it I thought they were whining, but after reading Shanahan's comments about it, I can see their point.

Haha this guy thought I was a Steelers fan. Actually I felt like saying most of what he said, except the Bettis line. Seeing a team that was a notch below my Bengals win the superbowl gave me more confidence this season. :thumbsup:

I'm happy for the Steelers, and the city of Pittsburgh but it's going to be extremely tough to compete against Cincinnati(us?) this year.

An offensive juggernaut with an improved Defense, and newfound confidence from their number 1 division rival going all the way = 2007 champeens?
