I give Crawford, I get D Lee, Burgo, and Jenkins. My 1B & CI are Morneau/Nady. My OF's are Matsui, Bay, Crawford, C Lee, and Granderson. My closers are Fuentes, Street, Wickman. Should I do it. I already have 2 on the DL, one being Cantu. I plan on dropping the other, along with Towers, soon.

So, any suggestions??????

I wouldn't do it myself. But if you have players to take up the slack on SB why not try it.

I was thinking of counter offering with this:

Mench, Burgos, and Lee--for--Bay

Maybe he'll go for that, cause I like Carl too.

I countered with this:

I give Bay, Granderson, and Towers.

I get Burgos, Mench, and Lee.

Good idea or not?

That's a more even trade I think than the first. Mench/Bay is pretty even assuming Kevin can keep up the hot start. He hit a HR tonight. :) I like Granderson but he's worth losing IMO. Once Lee comes back, he should beef up your offense. I don't like any KC pitchers whether they're starters or relief but he'll be ok for now. Apr 29 Dick Kaegal, of KansasCity.Royals.MLB.com, reports Kansas City Royals RP Mike MacDougal (shoulder) is eyeing a mid-June return after playing catch for the second time Friday, April 28. When he does return, Royals manager Buddy Bell confirmed that MacDougal will return to the closer's role and P Ambiorix Burgos, who has been filling in for MacDougal, will most likely become his setup man.

Finally it's over. He countered my counter-offer with Mench/Burgos/Lee for Bay/Granderson.

I immediately accepted. I would much rather give them up instead of Crawford. My team as of now is:

C-Kendall SP-Verlander
1B-Morneau SP-Haren
2B-Kent RP-Street
3B-Atkins RP-Wickman
SS-Ellis P-Burgos
MI-Weeks P-Fuentes
CI-Nady P-Byrd
OF-Matsui BN-D. Cabrera
OF-Crawford BN-Chacin
OF- C. Lee BN-Marshall(CHI)
UTIL-Mench BN-Bush
DL-Cantu
DL-D. Lee:wazup:

Any good?? It's a 14-team H2H league.
As you can see, I need help at 1B/CI.

While Bay will be playing, he'll be lucky to hit 90 RBI mark this season. He also does steal a bit, but since you kept Crawford, you really don't need to worry about SB. Since you basically got Lee for Bay. That's pretty solid. It even out since Lee going to be down for some time, but once he's back, he'll be the beast and totally help your offense out.

Mench is a nice addition. Start him as long as his hot streak keeps going. Since Grandson is not much worth much in fantasy, IMO. I think you did well with getting Mench for Grandson.

A nice pick up with Burgos, but of course, like Panzam mention, he's a Royal. Plus, Panzam also posted information MacDougal returning, so Burgos use will last for a short period of time.

Good job on the trade. Who are the FA first basemen/CI?

Best CI I found are:
E. Encarnacion
Zimmerman
Inge
Wilkerson
Laroche

Kepp in mind, I'm limited to 40 moves throughout the season, and this would be my 13th. The only one I think worth grabbing is Zimmerman, maybe even Edwin.

Actually, there's no need to find another 1B/CI. I have Jorge Cantu on the DL. He's eligible for 3B/CI.

The trade in Roy Gayle Fantasy was unsuccessful for the following reason:

This trade was voted down by the other members of this league.

As a result it will not be processed. :gripe:  :gripe:

Mench, Kevin (LF,OF,RF-Tex)
Lee, Derrek (CI,1B,IF-ChC)
Burgos, Ambiorix (P,RP-KC)
-----------
Bay, Jason (CF,OF,LF-Pit)
Granderson, Curtis (CF,LF,OF-Det)

Didn't this seem fair to you??

Hate to tell you that was not fair. You really where getting tooken there.

1) Kansas City has said MacDougal is there closer when he returns and Burgos will not longer be when he returns in a week or two or three weeks at the most. So your league will look at Burgos as a throwin that only has short term value. Witch is true.

2) Mench is a unproven talent. Although he is Hot right now there is a question of if he can keep it up and he may be at his highest value and he may be. Sure you did good getting him for Granderson.

3) what really stands out of it being unfair is that you are giving up bay who was a early secound round pick in most draft for lee who was a late first rounder.

Simply that is a extreamly high price to pay for a big bat that could be out for half the season and may not be quit be first round value when he returns.
