No, Hick Cady wasn't the regular Red Sox catcher in 1912 although he did appear in all 7 WS games. Bill Carrigan was the main catcher during the season.

Looking back at my question, I see the mistake here. I did not stipulate that the catcher had to be the regular at the position. My bad, I apologize. The way I phrased it, either one of your answers would be correct. Ok, I'm looking for a regular at the named position and we'll put up a minimum number of AB's. Call it 400 AB's.
