Cano adds spark to second that emotion (http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/baseball/story/415596p-351194c.html)
ARLINGTON - Third base coach Larry Bowa presented Robinson Cano with a bottle of champagne earlier this week but Cano hasn't opened it.
"I'm going to wait for the right time," Cano said. "It's special."
The bubby signified a landmark occasion for Cano - his anniversary as a major leaguer. But despite spending just over a year with the Yankees, Cano still doesn't look like he belongs in the Bombers clubhouse. The problem? He's too happy.
The Yankees are a veteran bunch and they have their fun, but it's unusual to find a player who is always smiling . . . except for Cano.
Go 1-for-3? Smiling the next day. 3-for-4? Beaming. 0-for-5? Grinning, at the very least, and there's a good chance you'll get a look at the full set of teeth.

Cano has been the most consistent hitter so far next to Giambi.

PP, you clearly haven't seen Randy Johnson at his finest :laff:
Robi reminds me of Sori. Always smiling, so freaking lovable :D
And the Great MELKY CABRERA was called up today, so the world will have the honor of basking in his rookie sexiness. Too bad he can't catch worth a damn :(

Cano has been the most consistent hitter so far next to Jeter and Giambi.
*fixed
How can you leave out Jeter, man?

Cause he hasn't been consistent? He goes 4-4 than 0-4. That's what I like to call inconsistent.

Giambi and Cano have both had those too. None of the Yankees have had a hit every game. ;)
Have you not seen Jeter's stats?

Yeah, I saw he was batting .400. Now hes batting .345. Cano has a ton of multihit games and Giambi is always on base.

Jeter also has 40+ hits and 20+ walks and like 24 RBIs. ;)

HAHA, your guys conversation is hilarious :laff:
Just for the record, Robi has 5 ofers this year. He's had only two games back-to-back in which he didn't get a hit. He's been on base in 25 out of 30 games.
DJ has had 7 ofers this year in 33 games. Like Robi, he's had only two games back-to-back in which he didn't get a hit. He's been on base in 31 out of 33 games.
Big G Jason Giambi has had 15 hitless games this year while playing in 32. He's gone hitless in multiple consecutive games five times. He's been on base in 28 out of 32 games.
So basically, they're all pretty damn consistent so stop arguing :D
It's scary, but Jeter got a legit chance for MVP and batting title if he keeps this place up. He's on pace for 130 plus runs scored and he's not even the lead-off man! I'm use to seeing Jeter start slow. Seeing him start face is a bit scary consider what his numbers might look like at the end of the year.
He was slumping a little bit last week and his batting average was still 340. plus!
