Our no-names have been doing incredibly well.
Pleased I am.

Bernie has also really stepped it up from last year and the year before.

Me too, I feel confident about our future with Proctor, Cabrera, Wang, Phillips, and Cano especially....even guys like Reese and Thompson. Not to mention, A-Rod, Jeter, and Damon will be around for years to come assuming nothing happens, even Giambi. Who knows, maybe Pavano might play a game or two in the next decade..

Got to give some credit to Joe for handling the team like he has the past couple of weeks. Along with the younger players. I'm didn't expect them to be handling themselves this well without their masher in the line-up. Not sure they can keep it up, but you never know with the Yankees.
One concern the Yankees should have is burning out Proctor's arm. I do think he's been using a little too much up to this point of the season. He's not old, but that doesn't mean he's immune from tiring his arm out.
I've always been a strong fan of the idea of Phillips at 1B full time while Giambi being full time DH, not like Ortiz, but being the DH the majority of the time. Once Phillps got time to play, I thought he was going to be solid.
I never saw Cabrera coming from a mile. I thought he was junk from what I saw of him, but I guess I was wrong.

you know, i've given this some thought the past couple of days/weeks/months...it sorta pops in and out of my head every once in a while. Everyone says the Yankees completely dessimated their minor leagues to make trades. Then they bring up these young dudes, and they end up hitting friggen .300 and driving in tons of runs, and I'm like...WTF dessimated?! Do the yanks just have great scouts, or are they just really lucky in who they bring up?

Maybe the media's made of idiots?...
We've been saying our farm is not complete crap for a while, but no one believed us. So Wang, Robi, and Melky are a nice big HAHAHAHAHAHA! ;)
I love Melky. His homer-robbing catch was the play of the season for us so far. Aaaahh I love him:love2:

Even Phillips, too. He's been more than we could have hoped for, IMO.
