Apparently there were rumors on the back page of the Sun Times about a week ago, of the Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban showing interest in buying the team. The Tribune Co. quickly came back and, as they do all the time, dashed our hopes of ever winning a WS. They are worthless as owners. There is no doubt that the Cubs are right next to the Red Sox and Yankees in attendance every year. So, where does our money go? If they can spend that much, why can't we?

Tribune will never let this team go. They make a ton of money off of it, and they don't have to do anything because people will show up no matter what.

It's a sad story, and one that will likely never end.

We can always look back and try to imagine what it would be like, having someone who wants to win at the head of the Cubs.

personally I don't think Mark Cuban would help the Cubs to a World Series. Cubs couldn't win pre-Tribune Co., with Tribune, and they won't win with Cuban unless he brings in real baseball people.

Cubans a controversial dude, but he's determined. I think Cuban would be a good owner of the Cubs, although I don't see that happening. But you never know.

When Cuban got ahold of the Mavs they stunk. Soon after he bought them they got better. I know they haven't won a title yet, but they're in the championship now aka NBA Finals.

I think Cuban would make a good baseball owner. He is loves to win. He would spend whatever it took to make the club a winner be it with players or real baseball people.
