Does anyone think that Tracy's use of starting pitchers resembles Macs?
pitch counts
pulling starters when they have a decent lead and he is pitching well
complain about bullpen being overworked ,but continue to use 3 or 4 in every game
Solomon Toress" arm has to be hanging ready to fall off some days!
Steve Blass even made the comment about a sp being in the mgrs face about being yanked in days gone by
i just think a starter can go more than 6 innings at times
maybe this comes from Littlefield
they seem to use the same method in the minors
if it is to try to prevent injuries it sure hasn't worked
look at all the sp injuries the Bucs have had

I think with the Bucco's it may be our track record beyond six innings. I am not sure though. It does seem odd at times. I think they play too much by the book nowdays in all cases. You have a dcent hitter and he is pinch hit for just for a lefty, righty match up. I can see if it is a .230 hitter. The same goes for lefty, righty pen match ups. But I guess if they do not do it, we second guess them later as well.
