Well, I was watching the Yankee and O's game the other day and happen to hear the announcer mention that Corey Patterson is the leader in stolen bases this season. I was just shocked when I heard that just because of what happen to Corey Patterson last season.

Anyway, since I only expect Nanner to reply. :laff:

How you liking Patterson? You love to have a speedy guy in your line-up, at the top, but with Roberts up there and with Patterson being the beast, so leave him where he's at in the lineup. Also not to mention he's been respectable with an OBP. of .337 and batting average of .287. Now, I don't expect him to keep stealing at this pace, but he should end up with solid numbers at the end of the year.

Since he's only 26 at the moment. He can be here for the future.

Damn, just shocked how well he's doing and felt like making a topic on it. :)

Yeah! He's been doing really well, and he's happy and everyone's happy with him, and having him bat lower down in the order is really a good idea, I think.

His defense is also pretty good!

Thanks for bringing him up, E! I've been meaning to, and I've been so danged busy I haven't had a chance.

Corey was always great defensively and a good base stealer when he was with the Cubs. He just seemed to have a mental block (ie - wearing a Cubs uniform) when it came to hitting. He was terrible last year. There were more than one baseball expert that have said he would go on to be a star player one day. Too bad it won't be for the Cubs but I guess it is a payback for giving you guys Sosa last year.

The Cubs must feel like morons now with Juan Pierre leading off with that amazing .288 OBP

Patterson was always one of my favorites on the Cubs. I hated seeing him struggle last year. I hope he plays this way all year and proves it was a mistake giving up on him.
