9/274 Barfield, Jeremy OF 6'5 240 R/L 7/12/88 Klein High School

Saw him on the Padres broadcast last night attending his brother's game in Milwaukee with his parents. Man, is he a BIG BOY! Tall and muscular. And he was wearing his Mets cap.

The Padres interviewed Jesse Barfield who mentioned that Jeremy is actually better than Josh in baseball skills and looks to have more physical talent. But the scouting report is that Jeremy's defensive skills would only work at first base. Hmmmmmm, Josh had scouts rank his defense not as great too, and the kid really has worked hard to be a good 2nd baseman. I am sure that Jesse will make sure Jeremy works just as hard. I'm looking forward to seeing Jeremy's career!
