Don and Jerry were just saying that there are quite a few festivities planned for next week's games. I wish I could see the pregame from NESN's perspective, but I can't get NESN when they're playing a New York team. But I will have it on XM.

I'm glad they're honoring the '86 team (it's still one of the greatest post-seasons ever), but I have to wonder if they'd do it if they hadn't won it all in 2004.

But at least Pedro didn't say he'd never go to the Mets.

which is why he'll get a much better reaction than Damon...I think Pedro left on good terms with the sox and the fans.

hell, I don't have anything against him...so I don't know why anyone else would.

Pedro gave it all he had in Boston, which is why I respect him so much. He probably decided to go to the NL because it's a pitchers league, since he knew that if he would stay in the AL he'd get hammered from time to time (just like Clemens, he decided to go to the astros for the particular reason that he might stink in the AL and end on bad terms)

Boo him. :D
No "Who's your daddy?" chant? :eyebrow

He'll receive a standing ovation. I would cheer for him as well. At least he did not talk too much like Damon. Also, he went to the Mets, who are not the Yankees. He left and that's all there was for it. For more years, not more cash.

Wednesday and Thursday look like awesome pitching matchups: Petey vs. Beckett and Glavine vs. Schill. I think Tuesday is Soler vs. Lester, but I could be wrong.

Thats going to be awesome, but i would have loved to watch Pedro vs Schilling. Is it still possible that they can meet, maybe Francona can arrange it???

ok, are the Boston Dirt Dogs writers actually the dumbest shits on the planet? Seriously, they are not too bright. They are saying Pedro should be booed loudly, yet they were trying to get everyone to cheer Johnny Damon.

I think the dumb shits at BDD have that backwards.

That's just crazy. Pedro gave his heart and soul to the Red Sox. He's been in the NY papers all week saying how much he loved it in Boston and how much he loves the fans.

Idiots.

It's sarcastic. They wrote that skit right after Damon got booed.

I remember when he destroyed the Yankees.

Err, before they became his daddy. :laff:

Too bad Pedro won't get another crack at them. Oh damn, the Yankees miss Glavine and Pedro. That's weak.
