Ozzie Chavez has been a part of history, but that's not always a good thing. The shortstop split time between Double-A Huntsville and Triple-A Nashville in 2006. He batted .259 in 96 games for the Stars and .231 in 24 games for the Sounds.
But since the Dominican Winter League playoffs began, Chavez and his Azucareros del Este teammates have not won a single game. The team has lost 13 straight, despite a 3.77 team ERA. Chavez has shown signs of breaking out of his personal slump with three hits in his last seven at-bats. That has raised his postseason batting average to .174 (8-for-46) in 12 games.
