yeah yeah, it's an NL team, but it's the cream of the crop of the NL...and he still went 7 innings. I'm definately encouraged. Hey, if this is the best the NL has, then that bodes pretty well for whichever AL team makes the world series...and the way the sox are playing they have a pretty good shot at it.

Pedro's return wasn't quite what I expected...but the sox fans gave him a great ovation, which was expected. It must have been tough for him pitching against a lot of good friends, and it showed in the 1st inning where he messed up that double play.

let's go for the sweep tomorrow and 12 straight wins!!!

:woohoo

He still needs to do it against the AL not this crap of a league NL we have been seeing

Agree again. :D

hehe, but it's true...he does have to prove it against the AL. Then again, confidence is a big thing in pitching, so the better he pitches against the NL, i'm guessing the better he will feel/pitch playing against AL teams.

I also like how Tito took him out after 7 2/3rds...because had he given up some more runs it would have tainted his confidence IMO. Good decision

Beckett needs the support from the fans when he pitches. He's a hell of a pitcher and remember he's very young.

Yeah, another good start is definitely a GOOD thing.

I'll pop a woody though when he actually throws a good game on the road.

His next game will be @ Tampa Bay against Kazmir.
