Good question. I'm hoping it's not Julián Tavárez. I'll start the bidding with Walter Johnson since he pitched a lot of games in relief.:notme:

Just as a relief pitcher, it's not Johnson!

Gregg Olson of the Orioles with 41 consecutive scoreless innings.
Actually he had at least 41.2 scoreless innings or even 42 scoreless innings pitched in relief before Wally Joyner hit a Sac. fly scoring Devon White to end his streak..
Game Played on Monday, May 7, 1990 (N) at Anaheim Stadium.
ANGELS 8TH: ANDERSON STAYED IN GAME (PLAYING DH); OLSON REPLACED HICKEY (PITCHING); White singled to third; Olson threw a wild pitch [White to second]; Davis struck out while White advanced to third on a wild pitch (catcher to first); Joyner out on a sacrifice fly to center [White scored]; Bichette struck out; 1 R, 1 H, 0 E, 0 LOB. Orioles 6, Angels 5.
On July 31, 1989 after giving up a run he got the last out. He then pitched 41 more consecutive scoreless innings in relief going into the May 7, 1990 game. He got the 1st out and after throwing 2 wild pitches in the inning the run scored on a Sac. fly. The out was made before the run scored. So if you count the 1/3 inning on July 31, 1989 and the 2/3 inning on May 7, 1990, it actually comes to 42 consecutive scoreless innings.
