I guess they decided 4 losses in a row were enough. :D

8-3 win vs. the Yankees......and extremely well done!!! :cheer:

I even enjoyed watching Billy Wagner pitch!! For some reason, I wasn't even nervous when he came in!

Good game, good hitting, hope Billy didn't hurt himself too much there, jamming his foot into first base.

I sort of love Eli Marrero. :D

Lo Duca had a terrific game, Castro, Wright.....geez....it's so much fun watching this team!!!

I was pissed off at the Fox announcers, of course, especially Joe Buck, for whining about Trachs and his slow approach. And then with McGarver jumping in, it was all I could do to not throw something at my TV. I should have changed to the radio broadcast.

I watched the first inning, listening to the next few innings, watched several innings, then was out of broadcast contact for the last several innings. But I just can NOT stand McCarver and Buck. Ewwww!!!!

What was the thing with the umpire totally blocking Castro's path to catch a pop up?? Tom McCarthy just did not give me a clear picture of what happened there.

Well.......he blocked Castro going back to catch a pop-up. That's what it was. :D Of course, there was no interferance call, because it was the freakin' umpire who did the blocking. I would have loved if one of the other umps had called interference there. :D

Then there was another incident with the homeplate ump when X Nady got hit with a pitch on the lower leg, and the ump didn't see it, so didn't let him go to first, then he struck out on the next pitch.

Stupid ump. :hmm:

I have never like McCarver either. I think he has ruined every game I have listened to with him as the announcer. I now change to the radio everytime he is on. I hear people complain about him all the time. When will the network realize that he is losing them listeners. Who are the ones that enjoy his broadcast

I heard that even after Castro ran into him, he made no move whatsoever to get out of his way. Howie Rose did quite a schpeel about them practicing for Roseland that night.

Throw in Skeeter being called safe when he was out by almost a full step. Yeah, these umpires are impartial. :gripe:

McCarver to me sounds like the guy they send to the coast during Hurricane season, standing there SCREAMING the obvious, over analyzing everything about the situation

Always wished someone would give him a shot at managing, at least it would get him out of the booth
