I think the only one that is debateable is Lo Duca... There a few other catchers having better years, although Lo Duca is definitely no scrub!

I was a bit surprised at Lo Duca myself.

Well done!!!

I usually have a problem with fans voting on this game - it always ends up being a popularity contest, but here are some guys who have the numbers, and really deserve it! YAY!!! :cheer: :jump:

I believe the last time the Mets had four starters in the All Star Game was 1986.

Hi Nan, James....I'm good, just been busy with school and friends. I'm off for 3weeks. And yes, it was Key West.

I've done my usual thing, post regularly and then disappear for months/years at at time. :D

Lo Duca the only real undeserving player on the list. Sorry, but I just see a lot of other catcher having better season than Lo Duca at the moment to make me buy him being an All-Star, a starter at that.

The rest? All derserving. I wasn't too high on Reyes at first, but we know when he did a couple of weeks back to make me change my mind on him. :D

Too bad Delgado playing a position that's so deep in All-Star. He's having an All-Star calibur season himself.

Pedro, I think all you Met fans know, will likely not be there. :(

I was hoping to see more of Pedro.

Yes, I slowly came to realization that I can't count/add lately especially when it comes to baseball and even more so on my scorecard and recent posts

6, yes 6, not 8 and somewhere else I posted that they Mets were up 8-3, when it was really 7-3.

My only excuse is that my brain went into summer vacation mode...and/or wishful thinking!

And since a certain someone quoted me I can't even fix up up my post as to hide the shame of it all... ;) :luvkiss:

As for LoDuca the fans have spoken, sometimes people look at the numbers/stats but usually its popularity contest....agrees of all the Mets All-Stars, he is probably the least deserving..

... David Wright and Jose Reyes, who will start for the NL team on Tuesday in Pittsburgh, are both 23 and are just the third set of teammates both under 24, to start an All-Star Game. The others were the Red Sox's Bobby Doerr and Ted Williams in 1941 and the Angels' Dean Chance and Jim Fregosi in 1964.

Cool.. I didn't know that... I don't think Reyes will start (or play) though:(

I believe he is starting. If I saw correctly.

I'm pretty sure he's starting. It's just a cut on his pinkey!

Can't ignore the coincidences here, the best SS in the NL gets a cut on his pinky and our own KoZ gets a tattoo on his.

What does it all mean?????
