Rockies slugger Matt Holliday wants to participate in next Monday's All-Star Home Run Derby if asked. "I would definitely love to do it," Holliday said. "It would be cool." Some stars have shown a reluctance to participate, citing potential injury and a concern over disrupting the timing of their swing. Holliday harbors concern about neither. "It would just be like normal batting practice for me," Holliday said.
I hope he does. I would love for people to see this young guy swing the bat. He is just freaking big and so strong. He has backed up Helton a ton and when Holliday's swing started to get going last year that was when you saw Helton's avg and power numbers go way up! This guy is the Rockies All-Star and one of the best OF out there. Great pick by the NL.
