The next three weeks will be a test of Dave Littlefield's prowess when the Bucs fire sale begins. Many media outlets are trafficking the rumor of Burnitz to the Tigers for a player names Craig Monroe. Anyone know anything about him? Craig Wilson is said to be attracting interest from the Angels, White Sox, Red Sox, Yankees and Cardinals. Randa will be sure to go as well. Kip Wells probably won't attract any interest given his slow recovery from surgery. And if they don't reach a deal with Sean Casey within the next two weeks, look for him to be dealt too, although I hope he signs.

Assuming the high priced, under performing players are dealt and that Chris Duffy regains his 2005 form (BIG assumption) Here's the lineup I'd like to see from here on out:

CF Chris Duffy
3B Freddy Sanchez
1B Sean Casey
LF Jason Bay
RF Jose Bautista
2B Jose Castillo
C Ronnie Paulino
SS Jack Wilson

SP Ian Snell
SP Tom Gorzelanny
SP Zach Duke
SP Paul Maholm
SP Oliver Perez/Kip Wells/Victor Santos

I did read that Duffy played his first game a few days ago. His absence was described as personal leave. I hope he regains his form. That lineup is very possible, but the wild card will be the players we get in trades. I would think we need to get players major league ready (or very close) and I am sure at least one will be a starting pitcher. Wells, could go in a package deal. Vogelsong could also be thrown in a package deal.

Since they are getting rid of people, do you think you can talk to them about sending Bay and Sanchez to the Reds.
