Game #1 A's at Texas
http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/boxscore?gameId=220409113

This game had all the excitement you could ask for in a errorless game. John Rocker and Billy Koch each blew a save then Koch hangs on to notch his second win of the season. Kenny Rodgers and Barry Zito battled for 6+ innings. Barry at one point, struck out 5 in a row in the heart of the Rangers order (Kapler, I-Rod, A-Rod, Greer, Palermo). Rodgers is throwing harder than he has in years. His fastball reached 91mph, a great compliment to a wide variaty of junk.
In the bottom of the 10th, with the score tied 4-4, bases loaded, no outs, one run in, Oaklands defence rose to the occasion. R Palmeiro grounded into fielder's choice to second, I Rodriguez out at home, A Rodriguez to third, R Greer to second.
H Perry grounded into fielder's choice to second, A Rodriguez out at home, R Greer to third, R Palmeiro to second.
C Everett grounded out to second. In the 11th, Billy Koch mowed em down in order, 1 2 3.

Game 3 was a gem for Davis. He needed it too, he is young and has wavered some in his starts going back to last season. This may be a beginning to gaining that much needed swagger a SP needs. The A's were tough but for Texas to come away 3-4 isn't bad against that staff. I look forward to seeing the A's post big numbers this season.

Fulla, how serious is Mulder's injury? Serious enough for a DL stint?
