Anyone? Any news on these stiffs? They just said on EEI that out of the 3, only Clement will probably pitch for us again.:hmm:

It truly is a miracle we're in 1st with half a pitching staff.

Last I remember, Clement was hit yet again by a baseball.

I think he's done at a major league level, he doesn't have it anymore.

Clement looks to be pitching afraid and who could blame him. That had to hurt. Wells was done a few years ago keeps convincing teams to hire him. Foulke is out with a sore arm aka old arm. Bueller took another day off.

I dunno about Wells being done a few years ago. He managed to get 15 wins with the BoSox last year even though he is a lefty pitching in right hand hitting friendly Fenway and the year before with the Pads he had 12 wins. How can you say he was done? :notme:

Somehow one of the most out of shape pitchers in the game keeps coming back and pitches well. I doubt he's done. But I would love to know where he is right now!

Too bad about Clement. He has tremendous talent. I think if anyone can help him, it would be Dave Wallace.

Yes Eric he is but what is he doing? What is his expected time line? That's what I meant. :D

Yes, he's on the DL, but there has been no real news about him. He was with the team last week for a coule of days. The general consensus is ihe probably won't pitch again.

It's a shame really. He was pitching great, then the ball off his knee killed him. That is where being outof-shape was deadly. He can't recover due to his weight.

I figured. It's not his age that is the problem. His arm is fine! He doesn't throw as hard as he did 10yrs ago but he's so smart on the mound and he still can throw a great curve. Sad, really. Too bad he can't lose the weight but then again, I've struggled my whole life with weight fluctuation. Not an easy thing to constantly live with. :( Hope he can come back soon at some point. I've always enjoyed watching him pitch.

That was the same thing that happened to White Sox ace Wilbur Wood back in 1976.He got a rocket off the kneecap in a game against Detroit, and it pretty much ended his career. He had the same physique as Wells.
