Since I haven't really been following the NBA for a while, I'm hoping to glean a little education from some of you that do.

I know the Mavs were looking at Mike James but didn't go full-tilt after him and James wound up with Minnesota. Personally, I think Devin Harris will be just as good if not better over time. But now I hear they're going after Kenyon Martin. Smart move or dumb move?

I don't think Martin would be the way to go for the Mavs. They showed they needed another wing scorer when Josh Howard went cold. I think they already drafted Maurice Ager, an athletic wing from Michigan State, and he should be able to step in as another option at the wing.

They've definitely retooled for the 06-07 season and are going to be a tough team.

The Mavs signed undrafted free agent Pops Mensah-Bonsu. They are also contemplating buying out center, Pavol Poldkolzine.

I think they can, they've put together the players on paper, now we'll have to see if they can have team chemistry and become the champs.
