This makes no sense for the Red Sox. NONE. Unless he came real cheap.

Even though he hasn't been amazing so far, I think it was very important for the sox to lock him up. They should do the same for Lowell but not at that price.

That's quite cheap considering how much he could make in the FA market.

He's not been wonderful, but he still young. He does need to working on his curveball during the offseason. Having a bandage to prevent blisters doesn't allow him to work on his curveball and he seriously needs that pitch at this point.
