Jesus H. Christ. The whole freakin world knows Snyder blows up after 4 innings. YET, he lets him face Thomas in the 5th. Ding Dong, game over. Francona throws too many freakin games away and it infuriates me.

:Puter:

you can't put a starter in a game and be ready to take him out after the 4th. Francona has to hope that Sneider can get through the 5th. you take sneider out in the 4th, and the bullpen is tired out completely for the next week.

Not true. Today is an off day. No problem having your pen in early. Many guys were rested. Letting him pitch to Thomas was unacceptable.

he ended up going 6 innings, and looking in hindsight, it doesnt matter who was pitching, the sox only managed 4 hits and 1 run.

pretty much a complete failure on the sox's part, im not gonna just blame it on francona.

I was watching part of the yankee game last night, and in the 4th inning, buckwalter yanked their starting pitcher because he had 2 on and 1 out. he didnt even give him a chance to get out of the inning, and I hate that. It's the 4th inning, and your team has plenty of time to catch up, if something happens.

IMO, you gotta give the guy a chance to finish it.

Love ya PP, you know that.

However, I cant really blame this one on Francoma this time. If the score was 5-3 and we lost, then Ill help you rip Francoma a new one, however, we lost 5-1. Thomas' HR was useless. Just my opinion. :D

Not Kyle Snyder. Not Mr. 19.53 ERA after 4 innings. A 2-0 deficit could have been overcome. Once it was 5-0, guys just mailed it in.

mailed it in? you mean they stopped trying?

if that's what you mean, then they should be just as much to blame. you and I both know we are VERY capable of scoring 5 runs, very quickly. 5-0 is nothing.

Either way, you can't expect the Sox to win when they get four hits and score one run. Not against teams NOT named the Royals, anyway.

Personally, I'd be happy with taking two of three in Oakland every time.

How was Snyder's pitch count after four innings yesterday? I'd say you can't ask for much more than 80 pitches out of him. Anything more and you're pushing it.

Don't worry Torre does it too. ;)

No. Joe Torre brings in TJ Beam.

Francona believes in giving people a chance, things would not have gotten better, and the Red Sox didn't give up. Even 2-0 would have become 2-1 and it wouldn't have made a difference.

Otherwise, the closest thing the Red Sox have to a long man, is Tavarez, who would have allowed 10 runs in a few innings.:ugh:

A's are not that much better when it come to offense than the Royals, yet they are, were, in first place. :laff:
