cubs beat the cards again, 6-5. so far they lead the season series 8 games to 3. Does this seem a bit odd, considering they are 41-61?

And his last as a Cub?
i hope not, but it certainly could be. I dont think hendry is going to trade him just to trade him, but if he can actually get decent prospects for him, then i suspect he is gone.

at least if he goes out, he leaves with a very good game in awful heat. huge standing ovation after he left in the top of the 7th.

Looks like the Cubbies have the Cards #...

Interesting comparison between the Cubs and Cards and the Cubs and the rest of the teams on Sportscenter last night :)

What was up with last nights Cubs/Cards game, were they just beaning each other? It was hard to follow the highlights at the bar..looked NUTS!

fridays game, katrina? well, novoa first drilled rolen up near the neck on a pitch that just got away from him. Then aramis got drilled just above the ass and took some exception to it, though the cards catcher seemed to smooth things over quite a bit.

after that it seemed done and over with.

SWEEP!!!! four game sweep of the red birds. First time that has happened at home in 34 years (1972).

Big Z goes 6 IP, only giving up 2 runs (walking like 5 yet again) but got the job done.

cubs win 6-3.
