Is Van Buren, Tavarez, and Seanez really the best we can put into a game?

I was at tonight game and I can't even explain how confused I was when Terry brought the mop-up pitcher Van Buren into the game when it was still within reach when it was 6-4. I understand if 6-1, but 6-4? That move was like throwing the towel and asking the Angels to beat the snot out of mop-up pitcher like Van Buren.

I would gladly like to thank the umpire for giving the momentant back to Angels by screwing up that call on Lowell being hit. :)

well, lowell getting hit was very questionable. they showed the replay a bunch of times, and I'm still not sure. Usually they call it for the guy, and Lowell doesn't seem like the guy to fake getting hit...
