Well, it is that time of year where we give away players again. I can't take it anymore. We get a decent AA PROSPECT for him. Well, what is their plan for first base? Casey said he wanted to stay and I bet he would have signed a one or tow year deal for belwo what he could get elsewhere. Why do they continue to aliemate fans. We had better hope they get a first base prospect before the deadline. What will the options be? Craig Wilson will leave if he is not traded. He has more or less said so. He wants a chance to start every day. Hernandez and Randa will be gone next year (if not sooner). That leaves Doumit and Eldred, and Eldred will probabvly start in AAA. In a year where we finally expected improvement, we may have went totally down the tubes. Why are they still filling the stadium? It makes no sense. They are drawing better than the early 90's teams that contended! I am at a loss.

You guys just got Nady from the Mets for Oliver Perez and Roberto Hernandez.. What do you think of that deal?

It makes the net of Bay and Nady for Brian Giles. Remember, the Padres didn't want to part with Nady, hence the Bucs ended up with Bay. The big question is, who plays CF--Bautista or Duffy. I thought Castillo might end up getting shipped out to open up 2B for Sanchez.

There have been rumors of Castillo going to third in the future and Sanchez to second. Either way, I think Castillo has too big an upside to deal yet. Nady is ok, but basically they just replaced Craig Wilson with a better fielder, but siimilar hitting stats and saved money in doing so. Chacon is more interesting. He showed signs of breaking out last yeat, but his era has been horrendous this year, though similar to Wells.

a few deals were bad
Casey for nothing,Wells for nothing
why do they need 4 or 5 LH relievers?
you mean they couldn't have packaged a lhp or 2 and got better?
it was just $$$$$
Nady and Chacon were ok pickups
Burnitz and Randa may still go in waiver deals
