Wow man, I'm so bummed about the remainder of the season, and BLAM 2 walkoff wins to shut me up.
I love this team, I swear, if I wasn't straight, I'd be in love with Big Papi.
And Papelbon. Yeah, him too.

yeah, the bats are pretty hot right now.
im kinda worried about the pitching though...timlin giving up that homer...lester having another tough time in the 1st. Our pitching needs to get better, cuz the offense can't do this forever.

Yeah but Lester pitched a Quality outing, by definition.
3 runs, but that was it.
Timlin.....eck, I never feel safe with him up. I think the set up job should go to Manny DelCarmen honestly.

he's been shaky recently as well though...although I guess that was because of his hand thing?
Timlin used to be lights out, two years ago. I think he's just getting older.

That was purely brilliant pitching by Carmona. And completely retarded of Wedge to leave him in. Great peace of hitting by Loretta though. ;)

Yeah I'm guessing it was his thumb thing, it was interfering with his curveball, which was 100% on tonight.
His ERA was below 4 for a while, I have a lot of faith in him.
Craig Hansen needs work though, I think they brought him up too early.

Goddamn Loretta. Taking away another walk-off opportunity for Ortiz. :Puter:
:smokin:
Timlin is pissing me off. He's given up 3 bombs in his last 4 appearances. I don't want to see him in close games.

I'm still surprised that loretta actually swung at that pitch...the dude hadn't thrown a strike in a while, was completely eratic...he's lucky he got a hit, cuz if he had made an out, I would have been very, very unhappy.
I feel sorry for the pitcher though. He was doing so well, and then all of a sudden he just completely fell apart.

It's amazing that Lester was able to go six innings yesterday after his horrid start to that game. Give him credit for keeping his head in the game and pushing through the early shakiness.

Well, I'm thrilled for MLo to do well. :cheer: :jump: He's such a good guy and maybe he just wanted to give Big Papi a well deserved night off from the pressure.
In the dugout:
Papi: "I'm tired, boys...tired...must get some rest...so tired"
MLo: "Don't worry Papi, this time I got your back. You rest on the on deck circle"
Papi: "You da man!"
:D
