Is this true? I don't have time to search the news in depth.....I'm at an internet cafe and have to get back to the flat and get ready for my show.
So, what's the deal?
I'll have to get more news when I'm back at a computer. We get no baseball news over here. :(

Javy has indeed been traded to Boston for a player to be named. Since he was in the last year of his deal and wasn't starting they didn't need him and the BoSox did.
PEACE

I dunno...does corky miller hit into a double play with the bases loaded and 1 out on the first pitch he sees in the 9th inning, trailing by 3 runs?

It was one bad at bat, give hime some time. Obviously going hitless in your first 9 at bats isn't overwhelming, but give him a couple of more games.

im sorry...but hitting the first pitch into a double play to me is unforgivable...for anyone. at least take some time to see the pitcher and see what he pitches!
sorry for threadjacking your thread nanner...I know he's a better hitter than what he's shown, but i'm just a little ticked off

And what if he hits the winning home run or run? WHat if he goes on a hitting tear? Would you still feel like sending him back to baltimore?

Oh, he'll warm up. It's been a strange year for him. I'm betting he'll go on a tear too.
Sort of disheartening, I agree to see him do that on the first pitch with the bases loaded. But, he has been known to hit a ton, and I think he was sort of unhappy in Baltimore, so......... I think he'll be fine.
Hey, Datch....you weren't thread-jacking! :D It's about Javy!

The O's would've been better off keeping Javy to pitch on those days that it's Russ Ortiz' turn.
