Post here first before you decide to commit "suicide" and I don't mean that literally.

We just want to check up on you guys to make sure you're surviving. And remember, the Red Sox are NOT out of it. They're fine, you're fine. All is well... really. Remember we can provide you with pep talks!  :cheer: :jump:

I threw the toaster into the bathtub with me but it was broken

I'm even more downtrodden that I can't kill myself properly!:ugh:

We should have had a 10+ game lead of the yankees. Yes, I'm pissed off!

I still don't understand what he (theo) was trying to do on trade deadline. Why go after a hitter when we have a hitting team. WHy not get someone useful like Livan hernandez, Real Cormier, etc, etc. Anything is and was at that time better than Tavarez, Hansen and the whole crew (not including Papelbon and Schilling).

Honestly, there wasn't much out there for pitching. EVERYBODY was looking for pitching but very few were moved. Those teams that did move pitchers got youth in return. I'm sure that Theo tried to make deals but sometimes not making a deal is a good thing!

So remember, Happy Thoughts! :cheer: :jump:

exactly...I dunno how many times it's gotta be said. Theo was all over the place asking for deals, but everyone was asking for Lester, DelCarmen, and Hansen. You don't give those guys up for mediocre pitching like hernandez and real cormier.

I really don't see much of anything in Hansen. the other two: Lester and Delcarman are promising.

hansen is a rookie, he needs work, sure, but giving him up for some washed up pitcher isn't the answer either.

Call me crazy but I think Tito should put Hansen in tighter games/innings to get him used to his future role as closer at the same time Papelbon will be added to the rotation.

Hansen, needs more work in the minors. He doesn't have the look or skill of a MLB closer right now.

Anyway, it's 8-0 Red Sox and Mike Lowell went buck wild on the Orioles.

Hit in the head by a pitch
Dove into the stands and made a catch
Drove in a runner
Stole 3rd base

Awesome. This is what they need right now, a big offensive explosion, and through 3 Wells has been good, I hope he doesn't collapse.

Well it was good, Wells showed his old self. 1 run in 7 innings, pretty good.

Look at it this way: the Royals picked up Ryan Shealy (sp?) and IMO instantly became a better team for having done so. The Red Sox were simply their first victim and it took a Twins sweep to awaken the sleeping giant!
