Zito, Mulder and Hudson question

Mulder's ends after 2005, in 2006 there is a team option

Zito's I don't know. He doesn't have a multiyear contract, so the first time he is FA eligible, he'll be on the market.

Hudson's ends after 2004.

By the time Hudson and Mulder are free agents, MLB will either ve extinct or fixed.

Yeah I know I misspelled it by accident, but there is a good chance Zito will be available.

Zito will be signed up long term at least a full year before he becomes a free agent. Oakland won't take that chance.

Steinbrenner is Darth Vadder. He'll always get what he wants. Who would have thought Clemens, Mussina, Giambi..etc. would all go to the Bronx.

Steinbrenner won't get he wants in this case, because Oakland has the first shot at resigning him. And, of course, Oakland will.

Zito signed a one year contract in spring training. His agent has been in negotiations with the A's for two months working out a 4 year deal with an option. Barry wants to remain in Oakland so look for an annoucement soon.
