A Rare ESPN Game Tonight

The gang at the Eastern Seaboard Programming Network may have bumped thier collective heads and are putting tonight's Padres-Giants tilt on ESPN2.

This may be one of the rare times,outside of last night's Giants-LA tilt that the Eastern Seaboard Programming Netowrk has gone west of the Mississippi River to actually cover a baseball game.

Yeah, well the ONLY reason they are doing ANY Padre game is because Barry Bonds is in it. Afterall, they would NEVER consider putting just a Padres game on. :duh:

Pitching Matchup:
Brad Hennessey (4-2, 2.93ERA) vs Clay Hensley (7-9, 4.41 ERA)
Clay is a former Giant farmhand. Clay needs to stop giving up that one big inning :no: and he'll be fine.

I may try to go tonite - depends on how much work I can get done in the next few hours. I have major deadline this week and loads of work to do. Love it when they give it to me late on Friday...I had loads of time during the day - BLEAH!

:no: Not even then Eric. Look at when the Pads played at Shea last week, two first place clubs (at the time), Piazza's first game back at Shea, did ya think they would have had at least one of those games on national TV? :duh:

The Padres could be up by 20 games in their division, everyone having amazing years and still, the Pads would not get the national coverage. Doesn't matter that much to me though. I kinda like having MY Padres as a team that isn't as well known. Makes guys like John Kruk and Orel "can't I have a Dodger front office job YET" Hersheiser will eat THEIR words since they think they know SO MUCH about the Padres. :laff:

That would have been a no-brainer,but they had the White Sox-Yankees all week on the Eastern Seaboard Programming Network

You think that is bad, they are going to do an overkill this weekend with the Yanks and RedSox.... They play a 5 game series starting this Friday and 3 of the 5 are on ESPN and the 4th is on FOX...

Okay that display of crappy defense is NOT how the Padres play baseball. You know THIS is why I don't want the Pads on national TV - they stink when shown on TV. Drives me :banghead coz they ARE better than that.

At least Hensley showed he can pitch and is getting back into form. :thumbsup: But that lack of hitting is going to give me ulcers! :wazup:

Yeah,I saw that last night. He could have thrown a no-huitter and still lost the way the defense was playing.
