Should Boston trade him? I know he's having a bad season offensively, but he's still the speedy threat at bases and a 'good' outfielder. Better than Damon? Yes! I think they should keep him, he's young and they shouldn't give up on him yet.

I still believe he's not fully healed, though I don't think a lot of Sox fans care about that after seeing Damon own this past week. With that said, I believe Crisp will still be here in Boston next year, unless they can upgrade, which might be possible or they can get a good young pitcher for Crisp, though I doubt that will happen.

He's still a young and learning. Only grip I have with him is more of a grip with Tito having him bat lead off despite him not being that good a lead off hitter. I still think Coco should be in the lower part of the order, Youkillis at top and Pena behide Manny to protect Manny, Youkillis and Pena don't scare other team to not walk Manny.

in the long run, crisp will probably be better than damon, but right now, obviously damon is better. thing is, crisp needs to show more improvment to be worth it.

I dont quite think its a renteria situation, but it aint far from it either. I think they have to give him a shot one more year unless they can get a significant upgrade, but if he struggles again.......

I wish he'd learn how to throw the ball!!! honestly, that's the only thing that worries me about him. His offense is alright, his defense is solid, and he's young...all plusses. But when the shortstop has to come out halfway to centerfield to go get crisp's ball which he threw into the ground, that's no good.

I keep him though.

He know how to throw the ball! He's likely over throwing trying to make up for his weak arm. Everyone aware of his weak arm. He should make up for that by throwing accurately at least.

Unlike Renteria, Crisp's injury might be nagging him still. Even if was though, he's not shown that much patience at the plate, which is my biggest grip with him at the moment.

I've always believed they should have gone after Carl Crawford.

That would cost them an arm and a leg.

Lol, I forgot to mention that Damon might have a noddle arm, but he's still quite a good defensive outfielder. Let's not over estimate Crisp's defense based on that one play he made against the Mets earlier this year. ;)

At the moment, Damon more experience and Damon not looking old yet. Damon still the better fielder. Though, you could have fun debating if Crisp or Damon got a stronger arm than the other. Lol, of course, most people here got a stronger arm than those two.

Yes, this year damon is far better than Coco but defensively Crisp is better and in the future (long run) he will be better than damon.

I didn't know you were strictly talking defensively.

Though, that's still not now though, which is the point. Coco might be better than Damon in the long run, but he's not now. Plus, he might be better, he's not going to for surely be better than him.
