Yeowza! There's so much back-news to read! I'm going to try to bring everyone up to date on what's going on with the O's.
First off, as Shad posted, Danny Ardoin is with us, which is good, because both Ramon Hernandez and backup catcher Chris Widger are slightly injured.
David Newhan is back. And then Corey Patterson injured his shoulder, so it's good that David's back, as he's needed in the outfield.
Niner's gone - traded to the Phillies. :( That makes me sad. I liked him. Good leader in the clubhouse, too. The O's got 25-year old infielder Angel Chavez - and he's been assigned to Double A Bowie.
LHP Tim Byrdak was designated for assignment to make room for Danny Ardoin. He's had sort of a dismal year.
Nick Markakis is tearing it up. Within the past week, he's been moved from low in the batting order to 2 and now to 3, switching with Melvin Mora, who's sort of been struggling lately. Kake is doing fine wherever he is in the lineup. :thumbsup:
