Well, I have been a Padre fan for over 20yrs now and always watched the Pads from afar until this season. One of my fave things about the Pads was the SD Chicken. Any Pads game I could see, I was looking for the Chicken.

Well last night I got to see the WHOLE SHOW! :clap2: Went to Petco for San Diego Chicken night! He was hysterical. The classics of hexing the opposing dugout, giving up on the hexing and peeing towards the Reds dugout, it was  great! The hexing seemed to work as Josh Barfield came up right after and hit a 2run HR to put the Pads ahead 2-0.

In the next half inning, the Chicken brought out his chicks and they were sooooooo cute. They went all over to the Reds dugout and hexed the dugout. I swear the Reds players were laughing more than "being afraid". :laff: But the real classic is when the Chicken and chicks peed on the umpire just as they left the field. :laff:

Then in another couple of half innings later, the Chicken went out to the Reds bullpen in right field (remember opposing bullpen at Petco is along the fence and not a separated area) and went to fight the Reds pitchers. These guys were willing to play along and "fought" the Chicken and beat him up. :( He was so beat up that he had to be carried off the field on a stretcher. So the next half inning, to the music of Rocky, he comes out with his robe, fighting shorts and boxing gloves. He beat all the boys in right field. :clap2:

The Chicken was very entertaining. The Reds players that participated were wonderful and seemed to really enjoy themselves. Actually EVERYONE really enjoyed it. The Pads pitchers in the pen were constantly watching the Diamondvision too.

No more Chicken today but I'm off to Petco shortly to be at every home game in the month of Sept. I will not miss the moment when Trevor breaks the record if he does it at home!

Oh forgot, the hexing worked. The Padres won 7-1 with the Peavster throwing a 2 hitter, and striking out 14, 2 shy of his own franchise record of 16. His slider was just killing the Reds, the cut fastball made them look silly. It was a brilliant night. :cheer: :jump:
