:ugh: i shall never forget his pitching gem against the Giants that night at Coors...

Sunny Kim had a game to remember Saturday night, keeping Bonds off base and throwing a three-hitter in Colorado's 6-0 victory over the San Francisco Giants.

It was Kim's first career complete game and the first complete-game shutout by a Rockies pitcher at Coors Field since John Thomson did it on Sept. 30, 2001

Right-hander Sun-Woo Kim, obtained Tuesday from the Colorado Rockies for future considerations, will start for the Reds today against the San Francisco Giants. Future considerations means the Reds got him for nothing, basically. Kim pitched briefly with the Rockies and was 0-0 with a 19.29 ERA in six games. He spent most of the year with Triple-A Colorado Springs, going 8-6 with a 5.05 ERA in 21 starts. "He's throwing the ball well," Reds general manager Wayne Krivsky said. "We thought we'd take a chance. He's had some success in the National League."

Perhaps it was due to it being a night game and that is his time to shine :D

I hadn't looked at his numbers for this year, eeks!

Also, I might have to head over to the Reds forum and ponder why the stockpile of pitchers??

I guess they think if they get enough they can throw a pitcher every inning to mix things up. :notme:
