Correction on my part...it was a bases loaded hit he gave up. Yeah I think it is his 10th...boy...they came back behind 5-4 with a Preston Wilson HR and brought IZZY in the 9th and he loads the bases AGAIN and they get a hit to win the game. Man...I wish they would make a change....he just does not have it anymore.

I think he needs an enima! He keeps on saying Isringhausen is our guy...well this team will only go as far as Isringhausen can take themm...as far as I can that's going to be straight to the crapper!

I heard that Lidge was having trouble this year TC, and I have heard some of the commentators saying that ever since Pujols blasted that homer in Houston last year he has not been the same. I really don't think that is going to shake up a guy like lidge. Personally, I'd love to have him, but I really have not payed as much attention the the stros this year. Has he been real bad?

His "stuff" is as good as it ever was. Control is the issue. He walks batters just about every appearance and has given up 9 HR's this year with an ERA over 5.00.
It's in his head as well.:(

Wow...I didn't realize he was having that bad of a year. The stros got that great pitching coach too....what's his name...hicks? He's doing just about as bad as Izzy, he's given up ten home runs, but he's also blown 10 saves....:gripe:

I mean i dont ssee whats being seen in Israunghausen..Im a big fan of Brad Thompson, Wainwright i havent seen close in awhile..i heard they was working him for a starter? dont know if its true..
Ryan Dempster. :laff:
Didn't the Astors say Lidge was no longer their closer at one point, then placed him back in the role? Wheeler being getting chances to save games a couple of times this year, too, no? Not sure what's up with Lidge. He was dominating the playoff until Pujols' HR last year.
Luvofthegame, Toronto should have the cash to keep Wells. I believe it's a matter of Wells wanting to stay with the team or leave. A LOT of teams would love to have Wells. :D
Gagne coming off major injury plague season. Don't see the Dodgers bring him back when they have that young Broxton likely to close next season. Gagne might be next year Thome and Thomas. Sign keep for one year deal and bounce back to his star status.

Well.....maybe we can pry the money out of Bill Dewitt's butt with a crow bar and get Vernon Wells....but I really doubt it would happen. I know many clubs would love to have him, he's a stud...no doubt about that :)
Gagne, yep a one year sound's about right....that I think is a possibility for the Cardinals. The Cardinals have two closers in the minors that will at some point come up and take over that role (one of them), hopefully. I think the Cardinals are hoping that will be the case and until then they will need someone in the interom.
Yeah, Ryan is a joke! I could never understand what the Cubs saw in him myself. As far as Lidge goes, I know at one point before the trade deadline the Astros had entertained offers for him and made no bones about it publicly. There has been a lot of speculation that the Albert blast off of him more or less ruined his phsycy...how much truth there is in that I don't know...I think TC probably has a better take on it when he say's it's a control thing.
