In tonight's game between the Pittsburgh Pirates and San Diego Padres at Petco Park,Mike Piazza hit his 1st triple since 2002.It was a stand-up triple off one of the nooks and crannies in deep left center.
Also,Pads starter Chris Young is 3 outs away from doing something that no Padres pitcher has ever done before. ;)
Pads lead 6-0 in the bottom of the 8th.

Young is struggling now. He's been overthrowing here in the 9th inning.
Now Bochy is taking him out after 8 2/3. He just ran out of gas at the end.

It was amazing to be at a game like this. I was in right field, near the K's and everyone at the park was on their feet just about. The air was so electric. It was one of the most amazing baseball moments ever!!!! So close...
And watching Piazza boy literally lumbering around the bases, well, :laff: that was worth the price of admission. Franklin, the right field usher, made a great comment, "he hasn't run that fast since he was in high school" and thank goodness for the Pirates making a pitching change at that moment coz there's no way that Piazza would make it any further.
Great game. Running out the door now for BP and tonite's game. LET'S GO PADS!!!!!

Padres have never thrown a no-no and the Mets have never thrown a no-no....hmmm...JA, you do realize that you're the lowest common denominator, right?:notme:
