Bengals wide receiver T.J. Houshmandzadeh has been named AFC Offensive Player of the Week for his performance in Cincinnati's 28-20 win at Pittsburgh.
Houshmandzadeh missed the first two games of the season because of a bruised heel but returned against the defending Super Bowl champions to catch nine passes for 94 yards and two touchdowns. The two scores came in the span of 54 seconds midway through the fourth quarter as the Bengals erased a 17-14 deficit. Both touchdowns followed Pittsburgh turnovers in Steelers territory. Houshmandzadeh's first touchdown was a 9-yard reception from quarterback Carson Palmer, while the second one came from 30 yards away.
