I don't really agree with the firing, because as Lopes said in the article, nobody could win right away. The Brewers' best starter is Ben Sheets, and after that it goes downhill. It's not as if further proof is needed, but again, a manager takes blame for a poor staff.

The Brew Crew played three games against Arizona and saw the big two, and they played three games against Pittsburgh, a team that is overachieving. You can't blame Lopes for the poor start when the pitching is horrible and the opposition is playing extremely well. As he said, you're setting yourself up for failure.

I thought the Brewers where going to end of the Homestand But I know it was coming.

I agree Josh...Not really fair at all but I guess someone has to be the scapegoat and Lopes is that man:ohno:

Joe Torre or Tony La Russa could not win with this team:hmm:
