Tommy rocks!! LOVE him!

oh man i'm so tired today  i thought i was gonna write this whole long thing about last night (FUN FUN game!!) but my brain is mush, i only got like 3-4 hours sleep (after only having 2 the night before). i got home at 2am, i'm sooooo sleepy right now......

so let's see what i remember about last night's game......

good crowd, very lively and positive (at least my section--upper deck, between 1st & home). lots of silly/happy drunk people--not obnoxious drunk but goofy/funny drunk. one dude who sat diagonally in front of us was hilarious, nan & I never laughed so much at a drunken fan before. he was dancing with this woman behind him, looked like his granma but i think they just met. somehow he befriended his entire section and at one point was kissing everyone lol. too funny.

the temperature at Shea was chilly but we were perfectly prepared woohoo (nan & I get an A for preparation last night. we only had to carry 3 bags of clothing, each, but that's okay) :D

THE BUS incident was hilarious. we had a perfect view of it from where we were sitting. as they were about to move the bus, people started chanting "Move that bus! Move that bus!" (any Extreme Makeover Home Edition fans in the house? lol) then after the bus left, the Dodger batter popped out (i think) and someone yelled "We want the bus! We want the bus!" (it was too funny, you hadda be there. nan & i laughed during the entire Bus Inning lol)

don't know if they showed this accurately on tv, but tommy got alotta love from the fans :) esp. after his at-bats when he advanced the runners. that was so awesome.....

lots of fun "Jose! Jose! Jose!" chants.... going on the entire game. people would just break out into Jose chants! (happened again in the parking lot after the game and on the train)

one annoying thing: certain confused fans chanting Paul Lo Duca's name using the Y****** style of chanting  horrors! .........later they tried with Cliff Floyd's name and that was just painful---"Cliff Floyd" into 4 syllables is just outright WRONG. Nan had to cover her ears it was that painful.

they raised the food prices! I didn't get my usual italian sausage cuz there were 57 people on line. got the sicilian pizza instead, no regrets, it was GOOD!

and what was the deal with all the people?????? i dunno, it seemed like there were toooooo many people--maybe people were moving slower or something, seemed like there were people-traffic everywhere you went (even the men's room, according to nan. some dude tried to sneak into the ladies room their line was so long)

it was great talking to James as always. :love2: can't be at a major game at shea w/o calling jamesiepoo

we ran into robin in the hall on the way out. we heard this loud screeching/howling, I turned around and said to nan "isn't that robin?" (yo robin, a little too much to drink there chica? lol) nice birthday win there!

the night would have been complete had we seen Gary. (hey gary, we looked for you but you weren't there. off night?)

what else? oh yeah, Icky Yankee Fan Encounter  *sigh* and i thought we would get through the night w/o one. UGH. A COP of all people! used his megaphone to try to taunt the fans. disgusting.

train ride home wasn't bad. nan & I passing out in our seats. we were exhausted but happily we still had our voices :D (pacing works! yay)

fun fun game and a great win!

Ooh, Cyn!!! Perfect description!!!

That stupid Yankee chant at Shea stadium, using Mets players is so freakin' annoying. I wanted to yell, "That's a stupid Yankee chant! Shut the f**k up!", but I couldn't be heard over the stupid sing-song Yankee chant. Yuck.

That drunk guy was so funny. Especially when he went over the rail to go to the bathroom and fell. :laff: He had a beer in his hand at all times.

Yeah, Gary, where were you?! We looked for you at your usual perch after the game and you weren't there! :notme:

Fun game, and it was nice to be warm. :D

I was at both the Wednesday afternoon game and the Thursday game at my regular stand near section 14 in the loge. You can even ask Robin. She stopped by to say hello.

The food prices were the same as during the season. I was really surprised on Wednesday when I saw they didn't raise those prices.

Guy, you little stinker, I can't believe you didn't tell anyone you were going to be there! I never hear from Nan or Cyn ahead of time, but I'm really surprised at you. :bash:

It was such a great game. And it was great running into Cyn & Nan afterwards. :wave1: Quite a coinkydink.

My whole section was hugging and high fiving and everything the whole game. The night before as well.

And just for the record, I did not drink at all!! I was intoxicated by the Mets!!!

oh yeah, Gary and Ron were broadcasting from outside the stadium after the game. Of course there were mobs of people, but I was there whooping and screaming. I worked my way off to the side of the fenced off area next to their platform, and they heard all my whooping and screaming and they heard me and gave me "air" high fives!!!!
